Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and presentation of food and beverages for catering events and daily service.
- Set up catering areas, buffet stations, meeting rooms, or dining areas before events.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of catering equipment, utensils, and service areas.
- Help with packing, transporting, and setting up catering supplies for off-site events if required.
- Clear tables and dispose of waste according to hygiene standards.
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards according to company and regulatory requirements.
- Assist chefs or kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks.
- Monitor stock levels and inform supervisors of shortages or replenishment needs.
- Provide excellent customer service and respond to guest requests promptly.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- High school Diploma / Culinary certification
- Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or food service is an advantage.
- Good verbal & Written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers, management and immediate surrounding colleagues.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the company standards
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods.
